I help community-focused organisations and causes to develop their online reach using multimedia, blogging, social media and inbound marketing.

As a trainer and consultant with the international Thomson Foundation I help develop the skills of journalists from Africa and the Middle East.

At the end of the day, it’s all about connecting real people. that’s been my passion as a journalist, editor and marketer for over 25 years, working with community organisations, businesses and non-profits to make a difference in some of Britain’s most diverse communities.

Call me if you need help with

  • Multimedia publishing and online marketing
  • Editing and design for web and print.
  • Training in multimedia journalism, blogging, social media, community PR
  • Cultural change management
  • Conference facilitation and presentation

A little personal stuff …

I’ve edited daily newspapers including the Coventry Evening Telegraph and Birmingham Post, and was managing editor for several weekly newspapers and websites in London. Somewhere during my years editing newspapers, news websites, magazines, niche publications and books, I was managing director of a UK newspaper publisher.

Non-profit organisations I’ve chaired include new fiction publisher Tindal Street Press, cross-sector leadership programme Birmingham Common Purpose and the Birmingham Lifelong Learning Partnership, bringing together universities, colleges and vocational training providers.

With a passion for arts and heritage, I’ve been proud to be involved with trusts driving the restoration of Birmingham Town Hall and re-launch of Coventry Transport Museum, as well as Arts & Business, UnLtd, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Chambers of Commerce and two city centre marketing partnerships.
